Effective for Dayforth’s TestFlight beta, version 0.1.0.
Dayforth keeps your places and your travel times on your iPhone. This beta collects nothing about you and sends nothing to us.
The spots you save, their names, where each one is, how you usually get there and the choices you make in the app are stored on your iPhone only. Dayforth has no account and no sign-in, and doesn’t sync yet. Like any app’s data, they’re included in your iPhone’s own backup if you use one (iCloud Backup or a computer). We can’t see them.
Dayforth asks to use your location only while you’re using the app. It uses it on your iPhone to show where you are on the map, to measure travel times from where you are, and to save the place you’re standing when you choose “Where I am”. Location is optional: you can say no and still search for places and save them. Dayforth never uses your location in the background.
To learn how long your trips usually take, Dayforth keeps a history of the travel times it checks, including the places they’re checked from. It stays on your iPhone only, is never sent to us or anyone, and is deleted when you delete the app.
To find places, name them and work out travel times, Dayforth asks Apple Maps. Those requests carry what Apple needs to answer them, such as the place you searched for, or the start and end of a trip. They go to Apple, not to us, and Apple’s privacy policy applies to them: apple.com/legal/privacy.
This beta sends no analytics or usage data to us or anyone else. Dayforth doesn’t track you across other apps or websites, doesn’t show ads and doesn’t sell or share data, because it has none to share.
If you choose to send feedback, a screenshot or a crash report through TestFlight, Apple passes it to us so we can fix the app. What TestFlight shares is set by Apple’s TestFlight terms and your choices in TestFlight.
If a later version starts to collect or send anything, such as analytics or syncing between devices, this policy will say so first, and the app will ask where the system requires it.
